Cae Gwyn is a convenient and comfortable base from which to explore the outstanding natural beauty of the surrounding area. Snowdonia, with its spectacular mountain scenery is on the doorstep and the glorious Llyn Peninsula, much of which is an area of outstanding natural beauty, is only a short drive away.
We are within easy reach of the beautiful beaches of Borth y Gest, Black rock sands and Criccieth, to mention just a few, as well as the castles of Criccieth, Harlech, Caernarfon and Conwy. Also close by is the picturesque, italianate village of Portmeirion, made famous by the 1960's tv show The Prisoner.
There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy sport and recreation, walking, climbing, cycling, fishing, golf, canoeing, bird watching and horse riding are some of the activities available locally.
Also close to Cae Gwyn are the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland railways, two of the great little trains of Wales, which offer breathtaking views of northern Snowdonia.
